SRIPOKU.COM - The Chairman of the South Sumatra Regional Board of the Online Drivers Association (ADO), Muhammad Asrul Indrawan, predicts that the Argentina national team will once again claim the championship title at the 2026 World Cup.
“Our prediction is that Argentina will be the champion of the 2026 World Cup. For several reasons, the team currently has players who are performing well both in Europe and on the international stage,” said Muhammad Asrul Indrawan in an interview with Sripoku.com on Thursday (4/6/2026).
Asrul, who also serves as the Chairman of the South Sumatra Provincial Board of Wushu Indonesia (WI), highlighted that team unity is a crucial factor for Argentina’s success.
“Football cannot be played individually. It requires team cohesion, and when they return to represent their country, it is that unity among the players themselves that makes the difference,” explained Asrul, who is also the Chairman of the South Sumatra branch of the Ka'bah Youth Movement (PW GPK).
He added that while many teams struggle with consistency, Argentina—famously known as the Tango Team—has demonstrated stronger team chemistry compared to other national sides.
The main reason why many believe Argentina will shine again at the 2026 World Cup lies in their status as defending champions. They boast one of the most balanced squads, with strength distributed evenly across all positions. The combination of head coach Lionel Scaloni’s tactical intelligence and the team’s champion mentality has made La Albiceleste one of the strongest favorites to lift the trophy once again.
1. Balanced Squad Depth
The Argentina national team possesses a highly competitive roster across top European leagues. They do not depend solely on one or two star players but have a well-rounded team—from goalkeepers to creative midfielders and lethal forwards such as Julián Álvarez and Lautaro Martínez.
2. The Magical Touch of Lionel Messi
The presence of captain Lionel Messi remains a decisive factor. Beyond his unpredictable on-field brilliance, Messi’s vision and leadership inspire his teammates and elevate the team’s morale to another level.
3. Tactical Mastery of Lionel Scaloni
Since leading Argentina to triumph in both Copa América and the previous World Cup, coach Lionel Scaloni has continued to showcase his tactical expertise. He has developed a flexible and cohesive playing style that allows players to interchange positions fluidly and dismantle opposing defenses effectively.
4. Regeneration and Emerging Young Talent
Argentina’s current squad features a new generation of young talents making their mark in Europe, such as Alejandro Garnacho. The blend of experienced veterans from the 2022 championship-winning team and ambitious young players hungry for success makes this team particularly formidable.
