BEDF Recruitment 2026: The Basmati Export Development Foundation (BEDF) has released an official notification for recruitment to various positions. What are the educational qualifications?
Lab Analyst (DNA Lab): The candidate must hold an M.Tech or M.Sc degree in Biotechnology, Food Technology, or Chemistry. Additionally, a minimum of 4 years of experience in a food testing laboratory is required. Knowledge of DNA Fingerprinting, GMO Detection, DNA Extraction, PCR, and RT-PCR techniques is mandatory.

Lab Analyst (Quality): The candidate must hold an M.Sc or M.Tech degree in Food Technology or Life Sciences. Furthermore, a minimum of 4 years of experience in a food testing laboratory is required. Candidates with experience in rice quality testing may be given preference. Subject Matter Specialist: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Agronomy, Seed Technology, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Plant Protection, Agriculture Extension, or a related discipline. Additionally, a minimum of 4 years of experience in the fields of Crop Production, Organic Farming, Agricultural Extension, or Agricultural Marketing is mandatory. Candidates should also be proficient in office software such as MS Office.

Age Limit
For all positions, the maximum age limit for candidates has been set at 35 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be eligible for age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.

What is the Salary?
Selected candidates for all positions will receive a monthly salary of ₹70,000.
