Jio has included many OTT benefits including YouTube Premium in its Rs 200 and Rs 500 prepaid plans. One plan is data-centric, while the other offers an all-in-one package of calling, data and entertainment.
Tech: Reliance Jio has introduced two such prepaid plans for its customers, which provide the additional benefit of YouTube Premium. These plans, priced at Rs 200 and Rs 500, have been designed keeping in mind different needs. One plan focuses on additional data, while the other offers a comprehensive package of calling, data and OTT entertainment.
30GB data will be available in Rs 200 plan
Jio’s Rs 200 prepaid plan is designed for customers who primarily need additional data. The validity of this plan is 28 days and a total of 30GB high-speed data is provided in it. Since this is a data-only plan, it does not include voice calling and SMS facilities.
The specialty of this plan is its entertainment package. Subscribers get access to many popular OTT platforms with YouTube Premium. Apart from this, the benefit of live TV channels and various digital content services is also provided. For users who already have an active mobile plan and want entertainment with additional data, this option can prove useful.
Rs 500 plan gives all-in-one benefits
Jio’s Rs 500 prepaid plan comes with more comprehensive features. Its validity is also 28 days, but 2GB data is given per day, making a total of 56GB data available.
This plan also includes the facility of unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS daily. With this, apart from YouTube Premium, you get access to many major OTT platforms. The company has prepared it for those customers who want the facilities of calling, data and digital entertainment in a single recharge.
Additional digital features included
Another feature of the Rs 500 plan is additional digital services. Many advanced benefits like cloud storage and AI based features are also being provided in it. With this, this plan is not limited to mobile connectivity only, but also covers digital productivity and storage facilities.
This is why this plan is being considered more attractive for those users who use smartphones for entertainment as well as work and studies.
Which plan would be better to choose?
Despite the benefits of YouTube Premium being available in both the plans, their utility is different. If a customer already has an active mobile plan and just wants additional data and OTT access, the Rs 200 plan may be a better option.
At the same time, for users who want a complete package of calling, data, SMS and OTT platforms, the Rs 500 plan will be more suitable. Choosing the right plan based on your need and usage will be the best decision.
Attractive option for OTT lovers
In view of the increasing demand for video streaming and digital content, telecom companies are now adding OTT subscriptions to their plans. Both these plans of Jio are also part of this strategy, where efforts are being made to provide premium entertainment experience to the customers with mobile connectivity.
The inclusion of popular subscriptions like YouTube Premium makes these plans even more attractive to users who want to take advantage of features like ad-free videos and background playback.
