Nicholas Galitzine is gearing up for the release of Masters of the Universe, in which he will portray He-Man. While promoting the film on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he briefly discussed the physical training he went through for the role.

Fallon brought up the topic by talking about Galitzine’s physique in the film and praised him, saying, “You’re jacked!” He then asked the actor in a comically deep voice, “What was the process of physically training to be He-Man?”

The Sheep Detectives star matched Fallon’s deep voice and responded, “The process, dude—I just lifted so much.” The host, still in the same deep voice, then asked, “Protein bars? You eat protein bars? You’re lying to me, man. You didn’t eat no protein bars.” The actor responded, “Let me tell you, I ate a lot of protein.”

Speaking with their normal voice now, Galitzine explained that he had to consume roughly 5,000 calories per day. This seemingly took a toll on his digestion, as the actor said he was “pooping a lot.” Once he was done filming, he shared that he treated himself to a “concoction” of sushi, burger, and pizza.

Masters of the Universe is the modern reboot of the iconic sword-and-planet toyline by Mattel. It will debut in theaters on Friday, June 5, 2026. Oscar-nominated filmmaker Travis Knight helmed the adaptation with a script from Aaron Nee, Adam Nee, Alex Litvak, and Michael Finch.

The supporting cast includes Idris Elba, Alison Brie, Morena Baccarin, Camila Mendes, James Purefoy, and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson. Meanwhile, Jared Leto and Kristen Wiig lent their voices to Skeletor and Roboto, respectively.
