England football captain Harry Kane has been honoured with his own wax statue at Madame Tussauds London, revealed just days before the start of the FIFA World Cup.

The realistic sculpture captures the Bayern Munich striker in his iconic Three Lions kit and boots, with his right foot placed on a football. The former Tottenham Hotspur star described the experience of seeing his wax figure for the first time as “like looking in a mirror.”

Currently in Miami as preparations for the World Cup continue, Kane admitted that seeing the incredible level of detail in the waxwork gave him a “weird feeling.”

Artists at Madame Tussauds London worked closely with the England skipper to ensure every detail of the replica was accurate. Kane expressed his gratitude, saying, “It was a real honour to get the call from Madame Tussauds. It’s one of those things you don’t expect to happen.”

He continued, “London has always been a special city for me. I’ve lived here almost my entire life, so having my first wax figure here feels like everything has come full circle.”

Speaking about the finished piece, Kane said, “Seeing the final result was a special moment. The eyes look incredibly lifelike, and they even added the tape I wear on my wedding finger, which I kiss to celebrate my goals – it really is like looking in the mirror!”

The England captain added that his wife Kate and their four children attended the unveiling ceremony, calling it “a proud moment for us all.”

“The studio team put so much effort into every single detail. It’s definitely strange seeing yourself like that, but I’m really happy with how it turned out,” he said.

The wax figure will be displayed permanently in London. Young players from Kane’s first club, Ridgeway Rovers in Walthamstow, North London, were among the first to preview the statue before it opens to the public.

Looking forward to fans visiting the exhibit, Kane said, “I can’t wait for young fans to take photos with the wax figure of me in London. I hope it inspires children to keep working hard, believe in themselves, and enjoy every step of their journey.”

The new addition will be part of Madame Tussauds London’s Culture Capital Zone, joining a star-studded line-up of global sports icons such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Mohamed Salah, Mary Earps, Sir Lewis Hamilton, Anthony Joshua, Kylian Mbappe, and later in the summer of 2026, Lando Norris.

Steve Blackburn, General Manager at Madame Tussauds London, said, “Harry Kane is one of the most influential figures in global sport, both on and off the pitch. We knew we had to bring his first-ever wax figure home to London ahead of the FIFA World Cup.”

He added, “Our studio team thoroughly enjoyed working with Harry, as they share his passion for precision and perfection. It was fantastic to witness his reaction when he saw the final product.”
