Real Madrid continues to move actively in the transfer market ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Los Blancos are determined to strengthen their squad as soon as possible to build a more solid foundation for the upcoming season.
This urgency is further intensified as the club is going through a managerial transition, including the first presidential election in two decades.
Despite these changes, their transfer activities remain on schedule.
According to a report from Marca, Real Madrid aims to complete at least two signings before the registration deadline for the Club World Cup and other summer competitions.
The two players at the top of their priority list are Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries.
Interestingly, Real Madrid reportedly will not have to spend a large amount of money to secure both players.

Konate Joins on a Free Transfer
Konate presents a golden opportunity for Real Madrid. The French defender has reportedly ended his stint with Liverpool following the conclusion of his contract.
He leaves Anfield after five seasons, during which he collected several major honours, including the Premier League title, FA Cup, and two Carabao Cups.
Liverpool had previously tried to extend his contract.
However, negotiations between both parties reportedly failed to reach an agreement, particularly over salary structure and contract clauses.
As a free agent, Real Madrid will not have to pay any transfer fee to secure one of Europe’s top central defenders.
Personal terms between the two parties are said to have been agreed upon, meaning the transfer process should proceed swiftly.
Konate’s arrival will add depth to Madrid’s defensive line, which in recent seasons has often been plagued by injuries and the departures of key players such as Dani Carvajal and David Alaba.
Dumfries Signed for INR 416 Billion
In addition to Konate, Los Blancos are also targeting Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan.
Initially, the Dutch international defender had a release clause valued at 25 million euros, or approximately INR 520 billion.
This made the transfer process relatively straightforward, as Real Madrid could simply trigger the clause, obliging Inter to release the player.
Dumfries is considered an ideal solution to strengthen the right side of Madrid’s defence, thanks to his combination of speed, physical strength, and consistent attacking contribution over recent seasons.
However, according to a report by Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid has reportedly reached an agreement with Inter Milan for a lower amount than his release clause.
The Spanish capital club is said to have agreed to pay around 20 million euros, or roughly INR 416 billion, to finalise Dumfries’ transfer.
Meanwhile, Konate could join on a free transfer due to his contract status.
If this scenario becomes reality, Real Madrid would spend only around INR 416 billion to sign two experienced players who are regular starters for both club and country.
By acquiring Konate on a free and signing Dumfries for less than his release clause, Real Madrid could be executing one of the smartest and most cost-effective transfer moves of the 2026 summer window.
