Japan returned the consignment, but Indian mangoes became popular in America; Alphonso-people are impressed by the taste of saffron

Washington. While on one hand the news of return of the exported consignment by Japan sparked discussion regarding Indian Mangoes, on the other hand the popularity of Indian Mangoes in America seems to be increasing rapidly. Hundreds of people turned out to taste Indian mangoes at a special Mango Festival held in San Francisco, giving a new boost to the demand for Indian fruits.

In this free Mango Party organized in America for the fourth consecutive year, people tasted India’s famous premium mangoes like Alphonso, Kesar, Chausa and Langra. Mangoes were cut and served to the large number of people who reached the venue. There was so much enthusiasm in the program that long queues were seen outside the venue.

    This initiative was started by an organizer of Indian origin with the aim of introducing the American people to the taste of Indian mangoes. Over the past four years, this event has become popular and has now become a topic of discussion on social media as well. After the pictures and videos to the program went viral, people’s interest in Indian mangoes has increased further.

    Many people on social media praised the sweetness and taste of Indian mangoes. Some people described it as the best mango they had ever eaten, while many users expressed their desire to buy it again after tasting the Indian variety for the first time.

    According to reports, India is among the leading countries in mango production in the world and produces crores of tonnes of mango every year. However, export of fresh mangoes is still limited. Such events are being considered important towards global recognition of Indian mangoes and increasing demand in the foreign market.
