TRIBUNKALTENG.COM - The official TVRI broadcast schedule for the FIFA World Cup 2026 has been confirmed. Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) will serve as the exclusive broadcaster in Indonesia for the upcoming global football spectacle.

Turkey’s head coach Vincenzo Montella has officially finalised his 26-man squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026, selecting a team that combines promising young talents with seasoned European experience.

The announcement comes as the “Crescent Stars” prepare to make their return to the world stage in North America, with Real Madrid’s rising star Arda Guler standing out as the undisputed focal point of the nation’s ambitions.

At just 21 years old, Arda Guler enters the tournament as one of the most talked-about young talents in global football. His participation follows a remarkable season in Spain, where he was recently named the Champions League’s Best Young Player of the Season.

Guler played a crucial role in Real Madrid’s run to the quarter-finals, contributing two goals and four assists in the competition. His creativity and technical skill are expected to be the driving force in Turkey’s midfield as they aim to progress through a challenging group stage.

Premier League Influence and Veteran Leadership
Montella is also banking on several players currently active in the English Premier League. Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has secured his place in the final 26-man squad, alongside versatile Brighton defender Ferdi Kadioglu.

Their experience in high-intensity football at the top level will be vital for Turkey’s defence as they face a variety of international opponents.

The squad is further strengthened by the veteran leadership of captain Hakan Calhanoglu and tough defender Caglar Soyuncu.

Calhanoglu’s set-piece expertise and Soyuncu’s physical presence provide the backbone for a team widely regarded by analysts as a potential “dark horse” for the knockout rounds.

The Road Ahead: Group D Challenges

Turkey has been drawn into Group D, which includes key matches against the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Their campaign begins on June 14 with a clash against Australia, followed by a match against Paraguay on June 20. The group stage concludes on June 26 with a highly anticipated encounter against co-hosts the United States.

As the tournament kicks off on June 11, the pressure is on Montella to turn Turkey’s domestic enthusiasm into international success. With Guler in top form and a balanced supporting cast, Turkish fans are hopeful the team can rekindle the glory of past tournaments.

Palangka Raya Deputy Mayor Achmad Zaini Eager to Watch Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi

Palangka Raya’s Deputy Mayor, Achmad Zaini, expressed his excitement for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026.

According to him, the world’s biggest football event is a long-awaited moment for fans to enjoy top-quality matches featuring the best players on the planet.

“We should be happy. God willing, this year we can once again follow the World Cup matches. This is an opportunity for all of us to watch and enjoy. I’m also a football fan myself,” said Zaini after attending the Pancasila Day ceremony at the Palangka Raya Mayor’s Office on Monday (1 June 2026).

He hopes the excitement of the 2026 World Cup will also be felt by the people of Palangka Raya.

One way, he said, is through public viewing events that can bring the community together to enjoy the matches.

“Hopefully we can watch together. We’re planning to hold community viewing sessions here in the city. I’ll also bring this up with the Mayor of Palangka Raya,” he added.

When asked about his favourite players, Zaini admitted he still admires the senior icons of world football.

He mentioned Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as the names that remain etched in his memory when talking about international football.

“Yes, my favourites are still the senior players like Messi and Ronaldo,” he said with a smile.

However, he also hopes the 2026 World Cup will not only showcase the established stars but also give rise to new talents capable of performing at the highest level.

He believes one of the most exciting aspects of the World Cup is the emergence of young players who impress and later evolve into global football stars.

“There will be many great players, I’m sure. Hopefully, this World Cup will reveal new world-class talents. Usually, it’s in tournaments like this that future stars are discovered,” he remarked.

He also emphasised the importance of player regeneration so that world football continues to offer captivating entertainment for fans.

According to him, it is time for a new generation to step up and carry the torch from today’s senior football icons.
