Sairaj Bahutule: Indian Cricket Team He will soon play the only Test match and three ODIs against Afghanistan. This series will start from June 6. Meanwhile before this series starts BCCIhas taken an important decision. Sairaj Bathule has been appointed as the spin bowling coach of Team India.
The only Test match between India and Afghanistan will be played from June 6 in New Chandigarh. Before that, BCCI appointed former Indian leg-spinner Sairaj Bathule as the head spin coach.
The 53-year-old Sairaj Bahule will be seen in his new role from the only Test match against Afghanistan. Sairaj Bahule will guide the bowlers not only in Tests but also in ODIs and T20Is. Bhathule has previously worked at the National Cricket Academy. Sairaj Bhathule has deep knowledge of domestic and international spin bowling.
IPL 2026 was recently completed. He served as the spin-bowling coach of Punjab Kings in the recently concluded IPL 2026. Bhathule has coached powerful teams like Kerala and Bengal in domestic cricket. Since 2011, he has contributed to the National Cricket Academy to mentor India’s young spinners.
