CBSE Re-Evaluation Portal Survives Cyberattack Scare After 1.5 Million Hits Emerge Within 2 Minutes; Over 16,000 Students Complete Submissions

CBSE said its Class 12 re-evaluation portal faced multiple cyberattack attempts, including a suspected DoS attack, while processing over 16,000 student applications. The portal remained operational throughout.

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday stated its Class 12 re-evaluation portal came under multiple cyberattack attempts even as thousands of students logged in to apply for post-result services.

According to an update shared by the board's cybersecurity team, the portal continued to function despite the attacks and had successfully handled a large volume of student traffic throughout the day.

As of 3 pm, more than 16,000 students had completed their submissions through the re-evaluation portal, while the platform was supporting over 8,000 concurrent users.
