KnewsDesk– After the change of power in West Bengal, the politics of the state is continuously becoming heated. Trinamool Congress (TMC) alleges that its leaders and workers are being targeted after the election results are out. Regarding this issue, TMC chief and former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has now decided to take to the streets and protest.

Mamata Banerjee alleged that after the elections, action has been taken against thousands of TMC workers and leaders across the state. According to him, about 2500 party offices were damaged, while more than 10 thousand workers have been arrested. He also claimed that the police are warning TMC MLAs and leaders not to come out of their homes.

In protest against these incidents, Mamata Banerjee had planned to stage a protest at Rani Rashmoni Road in Kolkata. For this, he also applied to the police administration on Tuesday afternoon, but permission was not given by the administration. Despite this, Mamata has made it clear that she will continue the protest program. The TMC supremo has indicated that if permission is not granted to protest in Kolkata, she may stage a protest in Delhi as well. The party says that everyone has the right to raise their voice in a democratic manner and the movement will be carried out under this right.

At the same time, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh rejected Mamata Banerjee’s allegations and said that the people of West Bengal have now stood against TMC. He sarcastically said that Mamata Banerjee can protest wherever she wants, but this will not change the public’s decision. Amidst the increasing political tension in the state, this movement of Mamata Banerjee can further heat up the politics of Bengal in the coming days.
