BANDA ACEH – The Director of Rumoh Manuskrip Aceh, Tarmizi A. Hamid, popularly known as CekMidi, has tipped the Spanish National Team to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to him, La Roja possesses the perfect mix of young talents and seasoned players, making them one of the strongest contenders to lift the trophy in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

CekMidi believes that the current generation of Spanish players is among the best the country has produced in the past decade.

With players like Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Nico Williams, and Pau Cubarsí, Spain has built a solid foundation to compete all the way to the final.

“Spain has outstanding talent. They do not depend on a single player but have a golden generation capable of playing collectively with high technical quality. I am very confident that Spain can become world champions in 2026,” said CekMidi.

He further stated that the most influential figure in Spain’s journey toward the title will be Lamine Yamal.

The young star, who has been shining for FC Barcelona, is seen as a player who can change the course of a match through creativity, speed, and confidence in one-on-one duels.

CekMidi remarked that Yamal has already proven himself as a world-class player despite his young age.

He is convinced that Yamal’s influence will grow even stronger at the 2026 World Cup after helping Spain win the Euro 2024 and becoming one of the most decisive players under coach Luis de la Fuente.

In addition to the individual quality of their young stars, CekMidi also highlighted Spain’s squad depth, which he considers more balanced than other major contenders like France, Argentina, and Brazil.

Several international prediction models and statistical analyses have even placed Spain among the top favourites to win the 2026 World Cup.

“If Lamine Yamal can remain consistent and avoid injuries, I see Spain’s chances as very high. He’s a player who can inspire the team and make a difference in big matches,” CekMidi added.

Spain enters the 2026 World Cup as one of the favourites after their triumph in Euro 2024 and consistent top-level performances in recent years.

The combination of experienced names like Rodri, Marc Cucurella, and Aymeric Laporte with a new generation of young stars makes La Roja one of the most complete teams in the tournament.

CekMidi is optimistic that Spain will advance as group winners and go deep into the knockout stages, possibly reaching the final.

For him, Lamine Yamal’s presence as Spain’s new attacking engine is the main reason why La Roja deserves to be considered favourites to win their second world title after their 2010 success.

The official 26-man Spain squad for the 2026 World Cup was announced by coach Luis de la Fuente.

The team is led by young sensation Lamine Yamal, alongside experienced players such as Rodri, Pedri, and Marc Cucurella.
