SBI Manager Job Preparation: Are you aware of the examination that allows you to directly become a Bank Manager upon passing? Let’s find out more about it.

Becoming a Bank Manager at the State Bank of India is a dream for many students. The salary and perks associated with this position hold a strong appeal for young professionals. If you, too, have completed your Class 12 education and are looking for a path to becoming a Manager at SBI, this information will prove extremely useful to you.

Start Your Studies Immediately After Class 12

There is no direct route to becoming a Bank Manager immediately after completing Class 12. To achieve this, you must first complete a graduation degree from any recognized university. While you can pursue your graduation in any discipline, studying subjects related to Commerce, Economics, or Finance will make it significantly easier for you to grasp the intricacies of banking later on.

Pass This Single Exam to Secure a Position at the Bank

SBI PO (Probationary Officer): After completing your graduation, you can appear for the SBI PO examination. Upon passing this exam, you undergo a two-year training period. Following this, you are directly appointed as an Assistant Manager, and after gaining a few years of experience, you are promoted to the position of Bank Manager.

Promotion from SBI Clerk: Alternatively, you can also appear for and pass the SBI Clerk examination after your graduation. After working as a Clerk for a few years and passing departmental examinations, you can eventually rise to the position of Manager.

Pursue These Studies to Secure a Guaranteed Job

The SBI PO examination is conducted in three stages. The first stage consists of a Preliminary Examination. Upon passing this, candidates proceed to the Main Examination, followed by a final Interview. To successfully clear this examination, you must develop a strong command over four key subjects:

Mathematics (Quantitative Aptitude), Reasoning (Reasoning Ability), English (English Language), and Banking & General Knowledge (General/Banking Awareness).

If you begin preparing for these subjects right from your college days, you stand a strong chance of getting selected in your very first attempt. With dedication and hard work directed in the right direction, you can turn your dream of becoming an SBI Bank Manager into reality.
