The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has activated its online portal for verification of answer sheets and re-evaluation requests for Class 12 students.

The facility is available from June 2 to June 6, 2026, giving students an opportunity to address concerns to their examination results.

The move follows earlier notices issued by CBSE on May 15 and May 17 regarding post-result services aimed at improving transparency and ensuring fair evaluation.

What Services Are Available?

Students can now apply for verification of issues identified in the scanned copies of their answer sheets. The board has also opened the re-evaluation process for specific questions.

Under the verification facility, students can report:

  • Missing pages in answer books
  • Missing supplementary sheets
  • Missing maps or graphs
  • Blurred or unclear scanned pages
  • Incorrect answer book uploads
  • Evaluation based on the wrong marking scheme

Students can also request re-evaluation of one or more questions across different subjects.

Application Fees

CBSE has fixed the following fees for the process:

  • ₹100 per answer book for verification of issues
  • ₹25 per question for re-evaluation

The fees can be paid online through:

  • UPI
  • Credit Card
  • Debit Card
  • Net Banking

The board has clarified that offline payments will not be accepted.

How to Apply for CBSE Re-evaluation 2026

Students can submit their applications through the official CBSE post-result portal.

Before submitting the application, candidates should carefully select all issues and questions they wish to challenge. CBSE will accept only one application each for verification and re-evaluation from a candidate.

After successful payment, the application will be treated as officially submitted.

Stage-2 Process Begins

The current process forms part of CBSE’s Stage-2 post-result services.

Stage-1, which allowed students to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets, has already concluded.

Stage-2 now enables students to seek corrections, verification of discrepancies, and re-evaluation of answers.

CBSE Aims to Improve Transparency

CBSE stated that the initiative is designed to address student concerns and strengthen confidence in the examination and evaluation system. The board will communicate the outcome of verification and re-evaluation requests after completing the review process.

Students are advised to complete their applications before the June 6 deadline, as requests submitted after the closing date will not be considered.
