Friends, Tamil Nadu politics is becoming no less than the story of a film, after Vijay Thalapathy became the CM, an important news is coming out, former Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai can separate from BJP and form his own new political party. After his recent statements at Chennai airport, these rumors have gained even more fuel. When asked if he was planning to form a new party, Annamalai replied, “I will answer all the questions in two days.”
Political curiosity increased due to Delhi visit
Before leaving for Delhi, Annamalai spoke briefly to reporters and indicated that important clarifications regarding his political future would be given soon. During his visit, he can meet BJP National President Nitin Nabin and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Political developments after change in BJP leadership
Even after the conclusion of the assembly elections, Tamil Nadu politics remains quite active. In April 2025, Annamalai was removed as the Tamil Nadu state president of BJP and Nagendran took the leadership reins in his place.
According to political observers, this change in leadership was brought about by AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. This happened amid alleged differences between Palaniswami and Annamalai. It is also believed that Annamalai was not given any significant electoral opportunity for the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
