Mumbai The result of Bhambla Zilla Parishad ward of Mandi district in the Panchayat elections of Himachal Pradesh has become a topic of discussion in political circles. BJP has suffered a major setback in Bhambla, the home constituency of BJP MP from Mandi and actress Kangana Ranaut. However, Congress also did not get relief from this result, because the victory here went to the rebel candidate of BJP.

Abhilasha Thakur, who contested from Bhambla ward, registered a spectacular victory, leaving behind the officially supported candidates of both BJP and Congress parties. This result is being counted among the most interesting results of Panchayat elections.

Abhilasha Thakur’s victory is also in the headlines because there was an alleged fatal attack on her during the election campaign. According to the information, a few days before the voting he was attacked by unknown people near Khudla village. It is alleged that an attempt was made to attack him with a knife and there was also stone pelting, due to which he suffered an injury on his head and the vehicle was damaged.

It was told that Abhilasha Thakur was returning from election campaign when this incident happened while stopping on the way. After being injured, he was admitted to Baldwara Hospital. The police started investigation after the case, while the family called it a fatal attack. The incident had also heated up the political atmosphere of the area just before the elections.

Candidate Rinku received 2,145 votes. A total of 16,747 valid votes were cast in Bhambla ward, while 245 votes were declared invalid and 145 voters opted for NOTA.

Bhambla ward comes under Mandi parliamentary constituency and is considered the home constituency of Kangana Ranaut. In such a situation, all the political parties had a special eye on this seat. For BJP, this contest was considered to be to prestige, but the official candidate of the party had to face defeat. At the same time, Congress also could not succeed in winning this seat, due to which the entire equation of the contest appeared to be going in favor of a rebel candidate.
