Lucknow. The Department of Medical and Health has made a major administrative reshuffle on Sunday and posted new CMOs in 23 districts. In this reshuffle, Dr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Chief Consultant of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Civil Hospital, has been posted as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in Unnao District. Let us tell you that in the government’s order dated May 31, 2026, he has been instructed to relieve him from his current responsibility and take up the new responsibility. According to the order, Dr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, who was till now posted as Senior Consultant in Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (Civil Hospital), Lucknow, has been given new posting with immediate effect.

Let us tell you that under the transfer policy of the Yogi Government of UP, the Chief Medical Officers of 23 districts of the state have been removed from their places and posted at new places. Orders regarding transfer of CMO have been issued by Special Secretary Ravi Ranjan.
