Bowlers had a tough time during the season, as they had to bowl on pitches which favoured the batters heavily. There were a few exceptions, but most venues yielded high-scoring contests. As a result, the season saw most fours and sixes being hit. 2332 fours were hit during IPL 2026, while the ball sailed over the ropes on 1426 occasions.

The previous record for most fours in a season was in IPL 2023, when 2174 boundaries were hit. As far as most sixes in a season are concerned, the IPL 2024 held the previous record with 1260 maximums.
