Inauguration of Kathak workshop under the aegis of Sanskar Bharati and Maheshwar Sadhana Fine Arts Center

Mirzapur. The 15-day summer Kathak dance training workshop, organized under the joint aegis of Sanskar Bharti, Mirzapur and Maheshwar Sadhna Fine Arts Training Centre, Vindhyachal for the promotion of Indian culture, art and values, was inaugurated on Sunday at Playway School Complex, Bally Ka Adda Mirzapur.

The chief guest of the program was Honorable Shri Sohanlal Shrimali, Vice Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Backward Classes Commission and Minister of State with status. Secretary of Rotary Club Elite, Mrs. Veena Khandewala ji, senior worker of Sanskar Bharti Mr. Dineshwar Pati Tripathi ji, District President of Sanskar Bharti Mirzapur Padmashree Urmila Srivastava ji and President of Sanskar Bharti Kashi Province Dr. Ganesh Prasad Awasthi were present as special guests.

The program started with lighting of the lamp and offering flowers to the picture of Goddess Saraswati. Thereafter, Kathak dance instructor Mr. Manish Kumar Sharma mesmerized the gathering with his attractive and soulful Kathak presentation. His presentation was greatly appreciated by the guests and audience present.

In his address, chief guest Shri Sohanlal Shrimali ji said that Indian classical arts are our cultural heritage. There is a need of time to connect the new generation with these arts. He appreciated such workshops organized by Sanskar Bharti and extended best wishes to the participants.

Special guest Mrs. Veena Khandewala said that art and culture have an important contribution in the all-round development of children. Padmashree Urmila Srivastava ji, while highlighting the cultural activities of Sanskar Bharti, called upon more and more youth to connect with Indian art. Dr. Ganesh Prasad Awasthi ji described the role of Sanskar Bharti as important in the preservation and promotion of Indian culture and wished for the success of the workshop.

The program was conducted and coordinated by Shri Someshwar Pati Tripathi. Co-coordinator Mrs. Shalu Verma expressed gratitude towards all the guests and participants.

The workshop will be conducted daily till June 14, 2026, in which participants of different age groups will be provided training in Kathak dance.
