Toppers Shine Bright
The JEE Advanced 2026 results witnessed a stellar performance from the Delhi Zone. Shubham Kumar emerged as the national topper, securing All India Rank (AIR) 1 by scoring 330 out of a possible 360 marks in the examination. Meanwhile, in the female category, Aarohi Deshpande delivered an exceptional performance to secure the top spot. The merit list released this year clearly demonstrated the dominance of the Delhi Zone, with numerous top-ranking candidates hailing from this region. The Admission Phase Begins Post-Results
Following the declaration of the JEE Advanced 2026 results, the attention of lakhs of students has now shifted to the counseling process. For candidates who successfully cleared the exam, JoSAA counseling serves as the primary mechanism through which seat allocation in the country’s leading engineering institutions will be conducted. It is through this process that students will be allotted colleges based on their respective ranks and preferences.
JoSAA Counseling to Begin on June 2
The JoSAA counseling process is scheduled to commence on June 2. Candidates are required to visit the official portal to register and select their preferred colleges and academic branches. Subsequently, the seat allocation process will be completed across various stages. Admission to IITs, NITs, and IIITs
Admission to the country’s IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other Government-Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) is granted through JoSAA. Through this single platform, students can apply to multiple institutions and courses, thereby simplifying the admission process.
Do Not Rush During Choice Filling
Experts emphasize that choice filling is the most crucial stage during the counseling process. Students should not merely chase after popular colleges; instead, they should fill their choices while keeping in mind their personal interests, career goals, prospects within their chosen branch, and placement records.
