Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) once again etched their name in football history by clinching the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League title after defeating Arsenal in the final held at Puskas Arena, Budapest, Hungary, on Saturday night (30 May 2026).
This victory further solidified Luis Enrique’s reputation as one of the finest coaches in Europe today.
Luis Enrique’s full name is Luis Enrique Martinez Garcia.
The Spanish-born coach was born in Gijon on May 8, 1970, and is now 56 years old.
Standing at 180 centimetres tall and weighing 73 kilograms, Enrique took charge of PSG in July 2023 and has since guided the French powerhouse to numerous prestigious achievements.
According to reports from Tribun Batam, PSG secured the 2025-2026 Champions League crown after a dramatic 4-3 win in a penalty shootout against Arsenal.
The match ended 1-1 after extra time.
Arsenal took an early lead through Kai Havertz’s goal in the sixth minute.
However, PSG equalised courtesy of Ousmane Dembele’s penalty in the 65th minute.
In the shootout, four of PSG’s five takers converted their penalties successfully.
Meanwhile, two Arsenal players failed to score, allowing Les Parisiens to emerge as champions.
This triumph marked PSG’s second consecutive Champions League title, following their victory over Inter Milan in the 2024-2025 final.
Retaining the Champions League crown increased Luis Enrique’s tally in the competition to three titles.
Previously, he had led Barcelona to Champions League glory in the 2014-2015 season.

In his debut season, Enrique led Barcelona to a historic treble, winning the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and Copa del Rey titles.
His tenure with Barcelona ended in 2017.
Soon after, he was appointed head coach of the Spain national team, managing La Roja in two separate stints — from July 2018 to June 2019 and again from November 2019 to December 2022.
