New Delhi: CBSE Class 12 students waiting for the next step after results have a key update today. The Central Board of Secondary Education will open the Class 12 re-evaluation and verification portal on June 1, 2026, giving eligible students a chance to review their marks through the official process.

Candidates can apply through the CBSE website at cbse.gov.in once the link goes live. The board has made it clear that this facility is open only for students who had earlier applied for photocopies of their evaluated answer books.

CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation portal opens today

The re-evaluation window is meant for students who have already received or applied for photocopies of their answer books and now want specific questions checked again.

This is not a general rechecking option for every student. So, if a student did not apply for the photocopy of the answer book, they will not be able to use the re-evaluation facility.

How students can apply

Students will need to visit the official CBSE website and use the re-evaluation or verification link once it is activated.

The process will broadly include:

  • Visit cbse.gov.in
  • Open the Class 12 re-evaluation or verification link
  • Enter the required login details
  • Select the answer book or question for review
  • Submit reasoning for the re-evaluation request
  • Pay the required fee and submit the form
  • Fees for verification and re-evaluation

CBSE has fixed the fee at ₹500 per answer book for verification.

For re-evaluation, students will have to pay ₹100 per question.

Before applying for re-evaluation, candidates must check the marking scheme of the concerned subject. The marking scheme will be available on the CBSE website along with the question paper.

Portal likely to stay open for at least 2 days

The board is expected to keep the verification and re-evaluation portal open for at least two days after the last scanned and evaluated answer book is made available to applicants.

Students should keep checking cbse.gov.in for the latest link, deadline and instructions. A missed deadline here can close the window, so it is better to act early and not wait till the final hour.
