PONTIANAK – The excitement for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is already palpable across West Kalimantan.
The enthusiasm of football fans eager to watch the world’s biggest sporting event together has received official support from TVRI West Kalimantan.
TVRI West Kalimantan has officially opened registration for public viewing (nobar) licenses for the 2026 World Cup. This opportunity is available to communities, organisations, institutions, and business owners throughout the West Kalimantan region.
The initiative aims to ensure that all public screening events are conducted legally, orderly, and comfortably throughout the tournament, which will take place from 11 June to 19 July 2026.
By obtaining an official license, organisers not only comply with legal requirements but also gain assurance regarding the legitimacy of events associated with the official broadcast rights of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
TVRI West Kalimantan explained that the public viewing license is divided into two categories: commercial and non-commercial.
These categories are determined based on the nature and format of the event planned by each organiser.
Football communities, civic organisations, government institutions, schools, universities, and business operators such as cafés and restaurants can choose the type of license that best suits their event concept.
Public viewing events held in various parts of West Kalimantan are expected to become major community gathering points during the World Cup period.
Aside from providing a shared viewing experience, these events are also expected to strengthen social bonds and foster a sense of unity among residents.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup matches will be broadcast on TVRI Nasional and TVRI Sport, giving the public broad access to follow every match featuring the world’s top teams.
Those interested in organising officially licensed public screenings can register through the procedures provided by TVRI, the official broadcast rights holder in Indonesia.
Full details regarding the requirements and registration process can be accessed through the official TVRI public viewing license portal.
