SINJAI — The Chairman of the Sinjai Regional House of Representatives, Andi Jusman, is backing the Spanish national team as his top pick to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The world’s biggest football tournament will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, beginning on June 11, 2026.
The Nasdem Party legislator from Sinjai stated that Spain currently has a highly promising squad, combining talented young players with experienced veterans.
According to him, Spain’s triumph at Euro 2024 is clear evidence that the team, famously known as La Roja, is now performing at its peak.
“Spain has many young and skilled players who can perform consistently at the highest level,” Andi Jusman told Tribun-Timur on Monday (June 1, 2026).
“They also possess a strong playing philosophy,” he added.
Andi Jusman further explained that Spain’s regeneration process has been running very well over the past few years.
“Several young players have successfully become the backbone of the team and have shown their quality when facing some of the world’s strongest teams,” he said.
He noted that squad depth will be one of Spain’s main strengths in facing the intense competition at the 2026 World Cup.
“Spain does not rely solely on one or two players. Their strength lies in their very solid teamwork,” he remarked.
Andi Jusman hopes that the 2026 World Cup will deliver high-quality matches and provide entertainment for football fans around the world.
“Looking at the team’s current development, I’m betting on Spain to lift the 2026 World Cup trophy,” he concluded.
