Slovakia are set to host Malta in an international friendly match at the MOL Arena tonight.

The Slovakia vs Malta clash will kick off at 11:00 PM local time on Monday (1 June 2026).

Neither of the two teams will be participating in the upcoming World Cup.

Slovakia came close to qualifying for the prestigious tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, but fell short at the final hurdle in the UEFA play-off stage against Kosovo.

The Falcons suffered a narrow 4-3 defeat to Kosovo in the World Cup qualifying play-offs.

In their most recent outing on 31 March 2026, Slovakia secured a 2-0 victory over Romania in another international friendly.

A seventh-minute own goal from Daniel Birligea and a second-half strike by David Strelec sealed a comfortable win at the Narodny Futbalovy Stadium.

The Sokoli will use this friendly as an opportunity to fine-tune their tactics ahead of the new UEFA Nations League campaign beginning in September.
