IPL Final 2026: The final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 is to be played today at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where the teams of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans will face each other for the glittering trophy. Just before this title clash, Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar looks completely calm and confident. Patidar says that even though this is the biggest stage of the season, he is looking at it like a normal match.

Will get a boost from the memories of Ahmedabad, Patidar said – ‘I like to live in the present’

RCB has reached the IPL final for the second consecutive year. In a video released by the franchise before the title match, captain Patidar talked openly about his strategy and mentality. He said, reaching the final for the second consecutive time and that too on the same ground, is a great feeling. We have many good memories associated with Ahmedabad.

When he was asked about the pressure of the final, the captain gave a very convincing answer. He said, it is a final, a huge stage, but for me personally it is just a normal match. I don’t think too far ahead about what the results will be or what’s going to happen. My entire focus remains only on the present, because thinking too far ahead in big matches can be harmful.

Bengaluru has dominated the league stage

RCB’s journey this season has been very wonderful. The team achieved the top position in the points table by registering strong wins in 9 out of 14 matches of the league stage. After this, by defeating Gujarat Titans by a huge margin of 92 runs in Qualifier-1, the team got a direct ticket to the finals. During the season, Bengaluru proved its mettle by defeating big teams like Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders.

Expressing pride in his team’s performance, Patidar said, “We should be proud of how we have played throughout the tournament. Every player has taken responsibility and contributed, which is the most positive thing for the team. We want to add some more great memories on this ground in Ahmedabad.
