After Abhishek Banerjee, another Trinamool Congress MP has been allegedly attacked in West Bengal. MP Kalyan Banerjee was going to submit the memorandum at Chanditala Police Station. It is alleged that the local people surrounded him and allegedly beat him.

After the attack, Kalyan Banerjee was seen lying on the ground and talking on the phone. During this time, security forces were also seen trying to control the situation. At the same time, TMC supporters handled Kalyan Banerjee and tried to take him away from the crowd.
Speaking to the media, Kalyan Banerjee said, “I was coming alone. There was no one with me. BJP members abused and hit me on the head with a ball. My head is bleeding.” “Now people will decide whether it is right or wrong that MPs are being continuously targeted,” he said.
Earlier on Saturday, TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee was allegedly assaulted in Sonarpur in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district. He had gone to Sonarpur to meet the family of a Trinamool worker killed in the violence on Saturday after the elections. During this time some people opposed him. A group of protesters threw eggs and pieces of bricks at his convoy and raised slogans.
So far 6 people have been arrested in this case. Attacking BJP over this incident, former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, “At present, the treatment will be done at home. Saline and oxygen will be given as much as required at home. If necessary, Abhishek will be taken to Hyderabad for treatment.” Former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has claimed that after the attack, blood clots had formed in Abhishek Banerjee’s chest. He also said that if Abhishek had not been wearing a helmet at that time, the incident could have proved fatal.
