New Delhi. The final of IPL (Indian Premier League) 2026 is to be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) on 31 May (Sunday) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both the teams, which have performed brilliantly this entire season, are now one step away from winning the title. RCB had made it straight to the finals by defeating Gujarat Titans in Qualifier-1.
In that match, RCB captain Rajat Patidar played a explosive inning of 93 runs in 33 balls. On the other hand, in Qualifier-2, Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals and made their place in the finals. Shubman Gill had scored a brilliant century in the match against Rajasthan Royals. This innings of Gill included 15 fours and 3 sixes. RCB has made its place in the IPL final for the 5th time. Whereas Gujarat Titans will play the final for the third time in IPL.

It was under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar that RCB won its first IPL trophy in 2025. And in 2022, Gujarat Titans won the trophy in their very first IPL season.
