RCB bowlers maintained pressure from the beginning, due to which Gujarat could score only 155 runs in the stipulated overs. Virat Kohli gave a great start to RCB while chasing the target of 156 runs. The experienced batsman played a responsible innings and scored an unbeaten half-century and led the team to victory. On the basis of Virat’s restrained batting, RCB achieved the target in the 18th over itself. This inning of his once again proved his importance in big matches.

RCB received prize money of Rs 20 crore for becoming the winner of IPL 2026. Whereas runner-up Gujarat Titans got Rs 12.50 crore in their account. For Gujarat, this was the second final in IPL history in which it had to face defeat. Earlier, the team had created history by winning the title in its very first season in 2022.
RCB has included itself among the strongest teams of the league by winning the IPL trophy for the second consecutive year.
