Ghaziabad: Police have solved the mystery of the murder of emerging Para-Olympic player Chirag Tyagi in Ghaziabad Kotwali area of ​​Uttar Pradesh. On Saturday, Chirag’s body was found in Sai Upvan, which had two bullet wounds on his body. The police have arrested Chirag’s colleague, a 17-year-old para-player, in this case. The pistol used in the murder has also been recovered from the accused.

Murder to avenge grievance

Police investigation revealed that both the accused and Chirag are ‘blind category’ athletes. Chirag had lodged a complaint regarding some documents to the game of the accused. Angered by this, the accused took the dreadful step of removing Chirag from the way. The police have arrested the minor accused and presented him in the court.

The country lost a shining star

There is mourning in the sports world and his hometown Muradnagar due to the death of Chirag. Chirag was a very promising athlete, who had recently won the gold medal in the 400 meter race in the Bengaluru National Competition. Not only this, he had also qualified for the Asian Games to be held in Japan in October this year and these days he was preparing for it by staying in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi.

Parents’ only support snatched away

Chirag was the only child of his parents. His father Manoj Tyagi tearfully told that he had invested all his life’s savings to improve his son’s career. The family is in distress and has demanded strictest action against the accused. At present the police is also interrogating other people associated with the accused.
