Automobile stocks traded mixed on May 29, 2026, during the late morning session. While electric vehicle stocks like Ola Electric posted strong gains, several traditional auto companies witnessed selling pressure. The S&P BSE Auto index declined 0.55% to 58,782.59.

The Nifty 50 was nearly flat at 23,907.80, and the S&P BSE Sensex gained 0.12% to 75,957.96 as of around 11:53 AM.

Top Gainers in Auto Sector

  • Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. was the top performer, surging 6.78% on BSE to ₹41.90 and 6.70% on NSE.
  • TVS Motors rose 2.27% on BSE to ₹3,437.35.
  • Landmark Cars gained 2.77% on BSE to ₹374.55.
  • Force Motors advanced 1.78% on BSE to ₹19,735.00.

Other stocks showing gains included SML Isuzu, Bajaj Auto, M&M, Ashok Leyland, and Hero Motocorp.

Major Losers in Auto Sector

  • Ashok Leyland declined 2.51% on BSE to ₹159.45.
  • Eicher Motors fell 2.02% on BSE to ₹7,269.55.
  • Escorts Kubota was down 1.14% on BSE to ₹2,848.80.
  • VST Tillers dropped 0.15% on BSE to ₹4,643.30.

Stocks such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor India, Ather Energy, and Sharda Motors also traded with mild losses.
