On the basis of fighting innings of Washington Sundar (50 not out), Nishant Sindhu (20) and Jos Buttler (19), Gujarat Titans scored 155 runs for eight wickets against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the title match on Sunday. Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Coming to bat for Gujarat Titans, the pair of captain Shubhman Gill and Sai Sudarshan added 22 runs for the first wicket. Josh Hazlewood broke this partnership by dismissing Shubman Gill (10) in the third over. In the very next over, Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed Sai Sudarshan (12).
After this, Gujarat’s batting could not stand against the bowling attack of RCB and kept losing its wickets while trying to play big shots. Nishant Sindhu (20), Jos Buttler (19), and Rahul Tewatia (seven) were out after scoring runs in 18 balls. Ashard Khan hit two sixes in his innings of 15 runs. In the 19th over, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took his second wicket by dismissing Jason Holder (seven).
Rashid Khan (seven) was out as the eighth wicket after scoring runs. Gujarat Titans scored a respectable score of 155 runs for eight wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Washington Sundar played an inning of runs (50 not out) with the help of five fours in 37 balls. Rasikh Salam got two wickets for RCB. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood took two wickets each. Krunal Pandya dismissed one batsman.
