Lucknow. UP Revenue Board Chairman Anil Kumar retired on Sunday. After this, the responsibility of this post has been handed over to the state’s senior IAS officer Archana Agarwal. This is being considered as a major administrative reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh.

1990 batch IAS officer Archana Agarwal will also hold the responsibilities of Chairman Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation and Additional Chief Secretary Transport. Along with Archana Agarwal, Deepak Kumar, BS Meena and Leena Johri were also in the race for the post of Revenue Board Chairman in seniority order. Archana Agarwal’s claim for the post of Chairman of the Revenue Board was the strongest.

Chairman Revenue Council big responsibility

Revenue Board is one of the most important administrative institutions of the state, where major matters to land, revenue and appeals are monitored. Archana Aggarwal getting the command of Revenue Board is being considered as an important administrative change at the government level. Archana Aggarwal is famous for her efficient administrative abilities, effective decision making style and long experience in governance. Archana Aggarwal has long experience in the service of the Central Government including Uttar Pradesh. She had also been Transport Commissioner in 2009. In the same year, he returned from the Center to Uttar Pradesh and was made the Principal Secretary of the Transport Department. Archana Aggarwal has again got the transport department after 16 years. Additional Chief Secretary Archana Aggarwal is completing 36 years of service in the Indian Administrative Service this year. He is to retire in the month of September.

Dominance of women officers in revenue department

Women officers have been deployed on the top three posts of Uttar Pradesh Revenue Board. Archana Aggarwal has been appointed Chairman of the Revenue Council while Aparna U Ko has the post of Principal Secretary Revenue. Kanchan Verma has been appointed Secretary of the Revenue Council.

Archana Aggarwal has been posted as Transport Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh in the year 2009-10. He has handled many important responsibilities during his tenure. Considering his experience, he has been given the big responsibility of the Revenue Council. The transfer list in this regard has also been released on Sunday. IAS Archana Aggarwal has been a magistrate and collector in Sultanpur and Ayodhya.
