Following a highly successful third season that wrapped up its run in mid-2024, the production committee broke the silence during a massive anniversary broadcast, generating immense traction across global anime circles. With the definitive greenlight secured, the upcoming installment is slated to bring the dysfunctional core party back into action for a fresh round of high-stakes, comedic misadventures.

Kadokawa officially announced the production of KonoSuba Season 4 on January 13, 2026, as the flagship reveal of the franchise’s 10th-anniversary celebratory projects. While the production committee has confirmed that the sequel is actively in development, a specific broadcast premiere calendar date has not yet been locked down.

Studio Drive, the animation house responsible for the franchise’s third season and the An Explosion on This Wonderful World! spin-off, is confirmed to return to helm the production. Given the studio’s active development pipeline, the production committee has scheduled a large-scale franchise anniversary event on July 26, 2026, at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall, where further broadcast windows and promotional trailers are anticipated to be revealed.
