Cricket updates: Amidst the increasing dominance of batsmen in IPL and T20 cricket and scores of 200+ being scored daily, ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar has advised BCCI to make three major changes to create balance between ball and bat. During an awards show in Mumbai, Sachin said that due to the current rules, the challenges for bowlers have increased a lot.

Those 3 formulas of Sachin Tendulkar, which can change the thrill of T20 cricket

• Impact player rule should be abolished: Sachin said that my personal belief is that playing an extra batsman as an impact player in a 20 over game completely spoils the balance of the game, hence this rule should be removed.

• Two halves of powerplay: He suggested that the traditional powerplay of 6 overs should be divided into two halves. Only 2 fielders should remain out of bounds in the first 4 overs, but the power play of the remaining 2 overs can be taken by the fielding captain at any time in the match as per his wish, in which he gets the freedom to keep 3 fielders out of bounds.

• Bowler should get 5 overs: Sachin argued that when the best batsman of the team can play full 20 overs, then why should the best bowler get only 4 overs? He advocated allowing a bowler to bowl 5 overs in a match.
