New Delhi: The weather has now given great relief to the people troubled by the scorching heat across the country. In many states, a drop in temperature has been recorded due to rain, strong storm and clouds. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a major alert for the next few days. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain, thunderstorms and stormy winds in many parts of the country from May 31.

In some areas, the wind speed is expected to reach 80 to 90 kilometers per hour. Along with this, warning of hailstorm has also been given in many states. The Meteorological Department says that the weather is going to change rapidly in many parts of North India, Northeast and South India.

Alert of heavy rain in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, Northeast India will see good rain this entire week. Heavy rain may occur at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Apart from this, heavy rain with thunderstorms is also expected in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Telangana.

Winds will blow at a speed of 90 kilometers

IMD has said that there is a possibility of strong thunderstorm in many areas of North-West, Central and Eastern India. In some areas the wind speed can reach 70 to 90 kilometers per hour. There is a danger of strong storm and lightning in many parts of Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Weather will change in North India

Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh may receive light to moderate rain with strong winds for the next few days. Bad weather is expected in Rajasthan also. There is a possibility of hailstorm in some areas of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

Advice to be cautious on the highway

The Meteorological Department has advised people to exercise caution while traveling during bad weather. Visibility may reduce due to heavy rain and storm, which may increase the risk of road accidents. The administration has appealed to the people to come out of their houses only when necessary.

Relief from heatwave

Due to rain and strong winds, the effect of heat has reduced in many parts of the country. People have got relief from the scorching heat for the last few days and a drop in the temperature has been recorded.
