Hardoi, 31 May. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Shyam Prakash from Gopamau assembly constituency of Hardoi district said that elections are won not by development but by tricks. Prakash is again in the news for his statement. In the felicitation ceremony organized on Saturday on the extension of tenure of Pradhans in Tadiawan block by 6 months, he made frank comments on elections and politics.
MLA Shyam Prakash bluntly scolds Pradhans
Addressing the heads in the program, the MLA said that elections are not won only on the basis of development works. Political tactics and strategy also play an important role. He said that we have also got a lot of development work done. In the villages where roads were built, there were no votes in the boxes. Elections are won not by development but by tactics. Prakash asked the heads to prepare for the upcoming Panchayat elections. He said that whatever trick like Sama, Daam, Dand, Bheed can be used, but the next election has to be won.
Expressed gratitude on extension of tenure by 6 months
The MLA asked the Pradhans not to do anything that could cause the BJP government to lose confidence in the Pradhans. It is important to maintain better coordination between the government and public representatives so that development works can gain momentum. Welcoming the decision to extend the tenure of the heads by 6 months, the heads present expressed happiness. A large number of village heads and people of the area were present in the ceremony, where MLA Shyam Prakash was honored by giving him flowers, garlands and mementos.
Big instructions from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
The Uttar Pradesh government said in a statement on Monday that following the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government has decided to appoint only the outgoing village heads as administrators of gram panchayats. Further, it has been clarified in the statement that the outgoing Pradhan will continue to conduct the general administrative functions of the Panchayats till the formation of new Gram Panchayats or for a maximum period of 6 months. The tenure of the state’s Gram Panchayats had ended on May 26, 2026.
