New Delhi: Veteran TV actress Anita Kanwal recently shared many painful experiences to the journey of her daughter and actress Pooja Kanwal to make a career in the entertainment world. During the conversation, Anita told that she struggled more than her career to pursue her daughter’s dreams. Even during the best phase of her career, she turned down many jobs and went on shoots with her daughter so that she could grow in a safe environment.
Pooja Kanwal started her acting career in the year 2004 with the film Oof Kya Jadoo Mohabbat Hai. After this she also appeared in films like Jawaani Zindabad and Blue Oranges. Despite a good start, he did not get the recognition and success he expected. Later he distanced himself from acting and is now active in the field of event hosting and anchoring.
Made every possible effort for daughter’s dream
Anita told in the conversation that since childhood, she had seen the desire and talent in her daughter to become an actress. He said that along with acting, Pooja also had dance and other artistic qualities, so he put in all his strength to fulfill her dreams. According to Anita, she worked harder for her daughter than herself because she believed that she could progress in this field.
Trying to save daughter from difficulties like casting couch
In the interview, Anita also talked about that aspect of the industry which is not often discussed. She told that when Pooja was working in South India, she and her daughter had to face inappropriate offers and pressurized phone calls from some people. Anita said that she gave a clear and strict reply to such people and also warned them not to do such things again. She said that she did not want to let her daughter be broken by such experiences at any cost.
Anita herself is feeling her daughter’s old pain today
During the conversation, Anita also shared an emotional thing. He told that after many years, today he feels the same emptiness and pain that his daughter had once gone through. He said that after working in the industry for a long time, when people start forgetting you, it is very difficult emotionally. Anita told that she was once a part of many projects simultaneously, but things changed with time. Expressing this pain, she told her daughter that sometimes she does not understand why she is living further.
