On Sunday, cinematographer GK Vishnu took to his official X handle to share a photo of himself in front of a brand new Mahindra BE6 Batman edition. He captioned the photo, “Just God things!! Thank you, Suriya sir. You have a huge heart!!!!” (sic), indicating that Suriya gifted the car to the technician for his work in the actor’s latest box-office hit, Karuppu.
Karuppuwhich hit theatres on May 15, has earned nearly Rs 300 crore globally, with the India box office alone accounting for Rs 200 crore. The film, helmed by RJ Balaji, recently became the 22nd film in history to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in Tamil Nadu, ending a drought in the state that had lasted since August 2025. Karuppu also became the first Suriya film to cross the landmark in the state.
