Ghaziabad para athlete murder case: fellow player killed himself, complaint on papers became the reason for death

Ghaziabad: Police have made shocking revelations about the brutal murder of rising Para Olympic star Chirag Tyagi in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The killer turned out to be none other than Chirag’s fellow para athlete Yash. Yash allegedly shot Chirag in revenge for his complaint against the documents.

Police have arrested the accused Yash (17 years) and have also recovered the pistol used in the murder. Yash is also a blind category player like Chirag and both were residents of the same area.

Chirag had qualified for the Asian Games

On Saturday, Chirag Tyagi’s body was found with two bullet wounds in Sai Upvan of Kotwali police station area. Chirag had recently won the gold medal in 400 meter race in the national competition held in Bengaluru and had also qualified for the Asian Games to be held in Japan in October. These days he was working hard at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi.

The only child of his parents, he had invested everything in his dreams.

Chirag was a resident of Muradnagar and was the only child of his parents Manoj Tyagi and his wife. The family had invested all their capital for the son’s career. Chirag’s father told that he had no enmity with anyone.

Initial police investigation revealed that Yash committed this crime to avenge the complaint made against Chirag regarding his documents.

The police have presented the accused in the court. At present, interrogation of Yash and his family members is going on. This incident has spread sensation in the entire area, because Chirag was considered the future of the country in para sports. The family members have demanded justice and appealed for strictest action against the culprit.
