The incident of assault on a couple late night in Indore created a sensation in the city. Some youths claiming to be army personnel attacked a lady bouncer and her husband. In fact, the dispute escalated so much that the attackers’ car went out of control and hit the divider. Vijayanagar Police has started investigation in this serious matter.

Actually, according to the information received, this incident happened on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday at Satyasai intersection. Rimjhim Barosa was returning home from Mahalaxmi Nagar fair with her husband Shikhar. Rimjhim is a female bouncer by profession. Near Bombay Hospital, there was an altercation with some youths in his car about cutting the vehicle. This minor altercation gradually turned into a major dispute, which took a violent turn.

Couple attacked with kicks and punches

According to eyewitnesses, youths in a car blocked the couple’s path at Satyasai intersection. After this he started openly fighting with Shikhar and Rimjhim. It is alleged that there were a total of five youths in the car who attacked the couple. The youth kicked and punched the couple, causing injuries.

Seeing the fighting happening, the people present nearby immediately reached the spot. He tried to save the couple, after which the dispute escalated further. The crowd tried to surround the attacking youth, which led to a clash between them. The situation became tense and an atmosphere of chaos was created on the spot.

The youth tried to run away from the spot

Seeing the situation worsening, the youth in the car tried to flee from the spot. He drove his car at high speed. In an attempt to escape, his car hit some other vehicles moving on the road. Meanwhile, the car went out of control and collided directly with the road divider. The collision was so strong that the car was badly damaged.

After the accident, the car got badly stuck in the divider. On receiving the information, Vijayanagar police immediately reached the spot. Police seized the car from the spot. Later, with the help of a crane, the damaged car was removed from the divider and taken to the police station. Police have started collecting evidence to the case.

Police engaged in investigation of the case

Giving information on this entire matter, Vijayanagar police station in-charge Chandrakant Patel said that the police has taken cognizance of the incident and has started investigation. He told that the youth in the car had introduced themselves as army personnel in front of the police and people. The police is now also verifying the truth of this claim. Statements of all parties involved in the case, including the victim couple and eyewitnesses, are being recorded. Police say that after completion of investigation and based on facts, strict action will be taken against the culprits as per rules.
