With Shivakumar’s name being approved in the CLP meeting, the way has been cleared for him to become the next Chief Minister of Karnataka. Earlier, the Congress leadership had announced that Shivkumar would take oath as Chief Minister on June 3.
During the meeting, the Congress Legislature Party also expressed special gratitude towards Siddaramaiah. The party said that the people of Karnataka and Congress workers will always remember with pride and respect his tenure as Chief Minister from 2013 to 2018 and 2023 to 2026, and his services as the Leader of the Opposition will also be appreciated.
The Congress Legislature Party, in its resolution, said that Siddaramaiah’s commitment towards social justice, his administrative leadership, dedication to the Congress ideology and his unwavering faith in the party leadership are a source of inspiration for every Congress worker.
The party said that the Congress organization and the government will continue to work under the guidance of these values and ideals in future also. The legislature party expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Siddaramaiah and expressed hope that he will continue to provide guidance to the party and the government in future also.
The resolution said the Congress government will carry forward its mission of serving the people of Karnataka, achieving transformational development in all sectors and improving the quality of life of Kannadigas with the experience and guidance of Siddaramaiah.
Let us tell you that it was already considered decided that DK Shivakumar would become the next Chief Minister of Karnataka. KPCC working president and Rajya Sabha MP G. C. Chandrashekhar had said that DK Shivakumar will take oath as CM on June 3 and the party has decided to keep the ceremony simple and avoid any inconvenience to the common people.
