This will be the new moon day of Adhik month of Jyeshtha. Since Adhik Maas comes once in 3 years, the coincidence of Somvati Amavasya in this month is very rare. 2. Lord Shiva must be worshiped on Somvati Amavasya.

4. Food should also be arranged for animals and birds on Amavasya.

What not to do on Somvati Amavasya?
