The RB Leipzig winger has emerged as the Merseyside club’s prime candidate to succeed Mohamed Salah, with negotiations ongoing for the Ivorian star. While Diomande could be on his way into Anfield, Ibrahima Konate might be heading in the opposite direction. The French defender's prolonged contract saga appears to be nearing an unhappy end. Konate has failed to reach an agreement over new terms with Liverpool and looks set to depart on a free transfer. Following the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold for a minimal fee last summer, this development represents another significant setback for the Reds.

Meanwhile, another centre-back potentially on the move is Ruben Dias. The 29-year-old has reportedly instructed his representatives to explore transfer options after six seasons with Manchester City.
