US President Donald Trump wants the fall of the communist government in Cuba before the summer ends this year. To that end, America is going to increase the financial pressure on the fragile government in Cuba. The aim was to create widespread instability in the Caribbean island nation so that it would be difficult for a communist government to survive there. Behind these demands of the Trump administration are diplomacy as well as domestic political interests. It is believed that Trump will not hesitate to send troops there to achieve the goal.
Political circles claim that Trump is actually trying to prove that at least one of America’s declared enemies has been permanently disposed of during his rule. The fall of the communist government in Cuba is believed to be a major blow to the leftist and anti-imperialist movements in Latin America. As a result, America will establish a monopoly in the entire Western Hemisphere. In addition, there are parliamentary elections in the American southern states next November. There, the general public is angry with the Trump administration due to inflation and cost of living increases during the Trump era, abuse of immigrants. But the region is considered a Republican stronghold. If the US can take over Cuba before the election, it is believed that Trump could have a big victory here.
America continues to increase financial pressure on the fragile government in Cuba. The aim was to create widespread instability in the Caribbean island nation so that it would be difficult for a communist government to survive there.
According to the report of the US press ‘Axios’, plans for direct military intervention have been prepared in addition to financial pressure to bring Cuba into trouble. However, Trump has not yet authorized an attack on Cuba and prefers peaceful regime change. To that end, no effort is being spared to strangle the Cuban economy. In the words of a US official, ‘If there is artificial pressure on the Cuban economy, the country’s regime will lose balance and a political crisis will be created. We don’t want to topple the regime yet, there is a way.’
The U.S. report also said that in addition to encircling the country and halting all imports, the U.S. military’s Southern Command conducted a military exercise last month. which is believed to be in preparation for a possible military operation in Cuba. Although military officials claim, the US has no plans for a military operation in Cuba right now. We are ready to jump as soon as the President orders. Meanwhile, Cuba’s energy crisis has worsened as time goes on. There is a massive food crisis. There is no electricity due to which the factories and even medical services have come to a standstill in the country.
