According to official information, on May 29, the Vice President will attend the global celebration organized on completion of 45 years of ‘Art of Living Foundation’ in Bengaluru, Karnataka. After this he will also participate in the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the University BDT College of Engineering, Davanagere.
On May 30, the Vice President will attend the State Foundation Day celebrations held in Panaji, Goa. After this he will also visit CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography located in Goa.
On May 31, CP Radhakrishnan will visit the famous Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swamy Temple in Karnataka. On the same day he will also inaugurate Siri Industrial Park at Belthangady.
After this the Vice President will reach Kottayam, Kerala, where he will inaugurate the 140th foundation day celebrations of ‘Deepika Malayalam Daily’. Later he will also attend a private event organized by Rajya Sabha MP C. Sadanandan Master in Kannur.
Meanwhile, recently Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, as the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, had appointed BJP MP Raghav Chadha as the new chairman of the Petitions Committee of the Rajya Sabha. This committee was reconstituted on 20 May.
Raghav Chadha has received this responsibility at a time when he had recently left the Aam Aadmi Party and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party along with six other Rajya Sabha MPs.
In the month of April, Raghav Chadha, Ashok Mittal, Sandeep Pathak, Harbhajan Singh, Vikram Sahni, Swati Maliwal and Rajinder Gupta left the Aam Aadmi Party and joined BJP. Due to this, the number of Aam Aadmi Party in Rajya Sabha was reduced from 10 to only 3.
