First off, let’s start with the exterior design changes of the new Tata Tiago facelift. This hatchback now offers a much sharper and modern appearance compared to the outgoing model. The older rounded front design has now been replaced with a sleeker and sportier fascia.
At the front, the hatchback now features all-new LED headlamps along with eyebrow-style LED DRLs integrated into the headlamp setup. In the previous model, the DRLs were placed lower down on the bumper near the foglamp housing.
The facelifted Tiago also gets a gloss black strip which runs between the headlamps, with the Tata logo placed in the centre. Overall, the front profile now looks much more aggressive and looks similar to the Tata Altroz. Moving a bit lower down on the front fascia, Tata has also redesigned the grille and bumper section.
It now gets a larger grille which is integrated into the bumper, along with sharp vertical detailing elements on the edges for a more sporty look. The hatchback also gets new pixel-style LED fog lamps and front camera modules integrated into the bumper.

Moving on to the side profile, the overall silhouette remains identical to the outgoing model. It continues to offer the same window line, blacked-out B-pillars, and body-coloured ORVMs. However, Tata has given it a new set of dual-tone 15-inch alloy wheels which look a lot more premium than before.
The updated Tiago also gets new black wheel arch cladding which adds a rugged touch to the side profile. Additionally, the ORVMs now house cameras for the new 360-degree camera system.
At the rear, Tata Motors is offering the Tiago facelift with newly designed LED tail lamps which now give the hatchback a wider and more premium appearance. Apart from this, the rear bumper has also been redesigned with chunkier black inserts, and the reverse lamp has now been repositioned onto the bumper. It also comes with a roof-mounted spoiler and shark-fin antenna.
Moving inside the cabin, the 2026 Tata Tiago facelift now gets a completely redesigned dashboard layout which focuses more on minimalism. The hatchback now gets a dual-tone black and light grey interior theme which replaces the older all-black cabin. Tata has also added new fabric inserts, and it has named it the Fabiricia Luxe dashboard, which also gets gloss black elements to make the cabin feel more premium.
The dashboard layout itself has become flatter and cleaner than before and now boasts horizontal design elements which run across the width of the cabin. The facelifted Tiago also gets the newer two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo in the centre. Another major update is the addition of a new floating digital instrument cluster.

Automatic variants of the hatchback now get a rotary gear selector instead of the traditional AMT gear lever. Tata Motors has also added paddle shifters to the CNG-AMT variants, which makes it one of the most affordable CNG automatic hatchbacks in the segment to offer this feature.
In terms of features, the Tiago facelift now comes equipped with a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Tata has also added dual wireless smartphone chargers, dual USB Type-C charging ports, rear USB chargers, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, push-button start-stop, cruise control, keyless entry, 37 connected car features (More than any other car in segment) and seat-back pockets.

The hatchback also gets the 6-speaker sound system which had been removed from the MY25 update. Other convenience features include a cooled glovebox and physical controls for the climate control system, which continue to remain easy to use while driving. In lower variants, the digital intrument gauge cluster can be used to strwam music through Bluetooth.

Tata Motors has announced that the Tiago facelift has scored 4 stars in the Global NCAP. It is based on the New X Alfa Architecture. As for the safety features, it comes with 6 airbags as standard across the range. Apart from this, the hatchback also gets a 360-degree camera system, electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX child seat anchors, automatic headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers.
Mechanically, Tata Motors has not changed anything. This means it still comes powered by the same engine and gearbox options as before. The 2026 Tata Tiago facelift continues to use the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which produces 86 PS and 113 Nm of torque. The same engine is also offered with a factory-fitted CNG kit where it produces around 73 PS and 95 Nm of torque while running on CNG.

Transmission options continue to include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT automatic gearbox. Both petrol and CNG variants can now be had with the AMT transmission option. The Tiago facelift iCNG version continues to offer the twin cylinder setup under the boot.
The 2026 Tata Tiago facelift will continue to rival the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios in the affordable hatchback segment. However, with its stronger safety package, premium cabin, and the availability of a CNG-AMT combination, the Tiago now offers a much more compelling overall package than before.
