Super Splendor XTEC 2.0: Whenever we talk about the most reliable bike for the middle class family in India. So the name ‘Splendor’ comes first on the tongue. This name has won the hearts of millions of Indians for the last three decades. Now taking this trust one step further, Hero MotoCorp has launched its new Hero Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 in the Indian market.
If you are looking for a bike that is light on the pocket and modern in looks for your daily commute to office or shop, then Hero has heard you. Let us, without any heavy bookish knowledge, understand what is special in this new bike.
Price and variants: Fits the budget
Hero has launched this new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 at a price of Rs 86,500 (initial ex-showroom, Delhi). It comes in two variants (drum and disc brake). The best thing is that even after adding so many new features, its price has not been allowed to go out of your budget.
What’s new in the look?
When seen from a distance it appears to be the same familiar splendor. But get closer and you’ll notice beautiful little changes:
- New Style: It has new dual-tone graphics and special ‘XTEC 2.0’ badging.
- Premium Feel: The bike now gets a stunning 3D emblem on the tank. Additionally, it has stylish rim tapes on its wheels and a dual-textured seat with fine stitching.
- Color Options: This bike is available in 5 new colors Glossy Black, Candy Blazing Red, Matte Axis Grey, Matte Nexus Blue and Matte Chestnut Brown.
- Advantage of Hazard Light: When you park the bike on the roadside in fog or during heavy rain. So all four indicators light up together to alert the vehicles coming from behind. This is an amazing feature in terms of security.
Engine and Mileage: This is where the real game lies!
The bike has the same old and very reliable 124.7cc single-cylinder engine. Which generates power of 10.7 HP. This bike is very smooth to ride and does not feel heavy in traffic.
But the real pleasing thing is its mileage. Hero claims that due to Advanced Fuel Injection (APFI) and Hero’s patented i3S (Idle Stop-Start) technology, this bike will now give a mileage of 72 km per liter. That means, in this era of rising petrol prices, it will take full care of your pocket. Also, due to the Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) installed in it, it starts quietly at traffic signals without any rattling.

Minor complaints (Where it can improve)
It is not that people are just praising, some small shortcomings have also come to light:
Use of fiber body: Some people say that to keep the bike light, fiber/plastic has been used more at some places. Due to which the ‘iron’ strength like the old Splendor is not felt.
Vibration at high-speed: If you try to accelerate this bike above 75-80 km/h, you start feeling slight vibration near the handle and legs. However, this bike is not made for racing. That’s why it runs like butter at speeds of 50-60.
Overall public decision
People are very happy with this bike. He believes that Hero has maintained Splendor’s old trust. It has been made a ‘smart and affordable family bike’ as per today’s times.
last thing
If you want a bike that is comfortable for your entire family, has great resale value, and has nominal petrol costs, then the Hero Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 is a great option for you. Hero has not sold just one machine this time. Rather, it has made your daily journey a little easier and smarter.
