The Israeli military claimed it also targeted an alleged “terrorist cell” that was reportedly operating out of a Hezbollah launch base.
However, the number of casualties in these attacks has not yet been officially confirmed. Due to continuously increasing attacks, tension is deepening in the entire region.
According to reports, the attack was targeted at a residential building near Chueifat area. Pictures surfaced on social media and local media showed thick smoke rising above buildings. The target of this attack was Ali al-Husseini, the head of Hezbollah’s missile unit.
Israel had earlier also attacked Beirut’s southern suburbs, known as Dahiyah, on May 6. Meanwhile, Israeli forces have made new ground incursions into several towns along the border, according to Lebanon’s state news agency National News Agency.
According to the report, the areas targeted included Tabanin, Kalaila, Kfardunin, Shakra, Ar-Ramadiyah and Deir Ames.
It is being told that the Israeli Army conducted searches and targeted action in these areas as part of the military operation. However, official information regarding the damage or casualties caused during these operations has not been revealed yet.
This development has happened at a time when the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah is continuously increasing. There has been an increase in cross-border attacks, air strikes and missile attacks in recent times.
