The much-awaited Royal Enfield Bullet 650 has finally been launched in India. The bike has been launched at a starting price of Rs 3.65 lakh, ex-showroom. Royal Enfield had unveiled the Bullet 650 at Motorverse last year. The Bullet is one of the most popular and easily recognised models from Royal Enfield. It won’t be wrong to say that the Bullet was the model that popularised Royal Enfield in India and abroad. The Bullet 650 is currently the most affordable 650cc motorcycle in Royal Enfield’s line-up. The starting price of the Bullet is the same as the Classic 650 but, the higher variant of the Classic 650 is around Rs 14,000 dearer.
The all-new Royal Enfield Bullet 650 motorcycle shares its name with the 350cc sibling but underneath, it is an all-new bike. Royal Enfield ensured that they maintained the retro design of the motorcycle. It comes with round headlamps with chrome elements around them. The iconic tiger-eye lights are also seen on it.
The bike gets the teardrop design on the fuel tank, side panels, single-piece seat, hand-painted pinstripes, and the Royal Enfield and Bullet 650 graphics or trims that look retro. Royal Enfield ensured that the bike does justice to the Bullet nameplate and has ensured that the design looks just like that.

As mentioned above, the design and the name are where the similarities end. The Bullet 650 is based on a dual-cradle frame and, just like the Classic 650, it gets a small digital display for the fuel gauge and odometer. The polished aluminium treatment for the switchgear is also carried forward.
The Bullet 650 also comes with chrome-finished exhausts and an engine case, which gives the bike an old-world charm. The bike is powered by the same 648-cc, parallel-twin-cylinder engine. This engine generates 47 Bhp and 52 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The front gets Showa telescopic forks with 120 mm travel. The rear gets twin shock absorbers. The bike comes with 19-inch wheels at the front and 18-inch wheels at the rear. As this is the Bullet, Royal Enfield is offering spoke wheels as standard. These are unlikely to be tubeless units.

The bike gets disc brakes at the front and rear, and it comes with dual-channel ABS too. This is the seventh model from Royal Enfield in the 650-cc twin-cylinder line-up. The Bullet 650 is available in one variant and is offered in Canon Black and Battleship Blue shades. It is also expected to be the last one. Royal Enfield is currently working on a 750cc platform, which will actually be an evolution of the current 650cc bikes.
We have already seen videos and images of the Himalayan 750, and the brand is also working on a 750cc version of the Continental. The Interceptor would also follow the same route in the future. The upcoming 750cc engine on future Royal Enfields is actually not a brand-new engine. It is a heavily reworked version of the 650cc engine. It will be tuned in such a way that the bike would generate around 55 Bhp and 65 Nm of torque.
